ePosters and paper posters

The embargo on the accepted abstracts content has been lifted on 17 April 2024 (unless requested by the authors otherwise). This means that all accepted abstracts and posters uploaded by the presenters can be viewed on ESCMID Global virtual platform.

Presenting authors can upload ePosters into their personal profile as of 1 March 2024 upon registration. Please complete your registration here, enter your personal profile and click on the file repository.

How to design poster that gets attention

It is mandatory to uploaded electronic version of your poster to the ESCMID Global 2024 platform if your abstracts have been accepted for ePoster Flash or Paper Poster Session. Presenting authors will gain access to upload poster only after completing registration for ESCMID Global 2024. Upload platform will be open in March 2024.

There are two possible formats of the ePosters:

1.  ePoster as single page

.pdf file, A0 portrait up to 3178.5px x 4493.8px, no larger than 1GB

2.  ePoster with voiceover as a single file

.mp4 video file, A0 portrait orientation, up to 3178.5px x 4493.8px, no larger than 3GB, recording no longer than 5 min*

All ePosters must be submitted to the ESCMID Global 2024 platform no later than 12 April 2024. Our link to upload ePoster will remain active after the deadline. However, due to the technical inspection that must be applied to each ePoster, your poster upload to ESCMID Global 2024 virtual platform may be delayed.

ePosters and respective abstracts will be available for viewing by delegates on our platform during ESCMID Global 2024 and after until 27 October 2024. There are no dedicated online ePoster sessions, but presenting authors can expect to be contacted by delegates with questions regarding posters via chat.

Upload of the electronic version of the poster (ePoster) is mandatory for all presenters. All paper poster presenters must upload the ePoster of their accepted abstracts to the ESCMID Global 2024 virtual platform by 12 April 2024.

During ESCMID Global 2024 in Barcelona from 27 to 30 April 2024, there will be a dedicated poster board for each abstract accepted for paper poster sessions. While participation in the paper poster session is not obligatory, it is strongly recommended by ESCMID. Since there are no dedicated ePoster sessions online, presenting paper posters enables authors to personally share and discuss their data with the ESCMID community.

Paper poster templates can be found here and are not mandatory. Paper poster must be printed A0 portrait format, 841w x 1189h mm (33.1w x 46.8h inches).

ESCMID collaborates with poster printing provider from Barcelona for ESCMID Global 2024. Few important information regarding poster printing:

• Poster printing must be ordered electronically
• All ordered, paper posters will be delivered and ready for collection at the ESCMID Global 2024 poster area on 27 April 2024 (Saturday at the morning)
• To use poster printing service, you will be required to upload A0 portrait, PDF file of your poster to the provider webpage
• Link to upload posters will be active on from 1 March until 15 April 2024
• All posters will be printed on high-gloss paper at cost of 75 Euro plus VAT (90.75 Euro in total)

2. Remember that your poster should have A0 841mm in width and 1189mm in height. The system supports both PowerPoint and PDF formats.
3. After accessing the platform, enter an abstract or a poster control number, and verify your poster details before clicking the upload button.
4. Proceed to fill out the form, attach your poster, and finalise the process by completing the payment.
