Fees for Congress participants include (not applicable for “Exhibition Only” and “Day Ticket”)

• Admission to all scientific sessions
• Admission to the industrial exhibition*
• Congress bag*
• Public transport within the city of Barcelona (not included for exhibitors, exhibition visitors and Day Ticket holders)*
  
  *Only applicable for participants attending in person / onsite

Note: 

Meals are not included in your registration fee.

Please be advised that children under the age of 18 are not permitted to accompany ESCMID Global (formerly known as ECCMID) delegates.

Confirmation

Upon receipt of the correct registration fee, each participant will receive a confirmation of registration.

Participants attending in person, please bring the confirmation along with you to the Congress (digitally or printed). You will be able to print your personal name badge by scanning the barcode displayed on your registration confirmation at the pre-paid registration stations in the registration area.

Instructions and login details for online access will be provided by email to registered participants at several points leading up to the Congress.

Badge reprint fee

If you lose or forget your badge onsite, a reprint fee of 100 EUR will be charged.

Letter of Invitation

A letter of invitation can be requested during the registration process. Such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the Congress to provide any financial support.

The letters will be sent manually after the participant’s registration is checked to ensure they are attending in person. Invitation letters will not be issued to those registering for online access only. Queries regarding invitation letters can be directed to the registration department at eccmidregistration[at]escmid.org.

Payment methods

Payment of registration fees (in EUR) can be made as follows:

Payment for individual registrations is only possible by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

Registration will only be valid upon receipt of the full payment by the registration department according to the deadline indicated. An email confirming registration will only be sent after receipt of the required fees. Outstanding payments will be collected onsite and charged at the onsite rate. A copy of the bank transfer (or other proof of payment) will be required if registration fees were not credited to the Congress account on time.

To benefit from early registration fees, payment needs to be in our account by 14 February 2024. If the payment has not been received in time, we reserve the right to update your registration to the higher fees.

To benefit from intermediate rates, payment needs to be in our account by 13 March 2024. If the payment has not been received in time, we reserve the right to update your registration to the higher fees.

Invoice address

During the registration process, you can enter a separate invoice address. Any change of the invoice address after having completed your registration needs to be emailed to eccmidregistration[at]escmid.org and will be charged with 30 EUR per change.

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be electronically mailed to eccmidregistration[at]escmid.org.

No name changes or cancellations are possible on online registrations.

For the in person & online registration, registration fees will be refunded as follows:

• Cancellations received up to and including 21 February 2024: total minus 25% handling fee.
• No refund on cancellations as of 22 February 2024.
• For any name change, we charge a fee of 50 EUR. Deadline for name changes: 15 April 2024. Name changes can only be done if the delegate has not yet confirmed their ESCMID account and/or has not yet attended any Pre-ECCMID Day. Name changes are possible for in person & online registration tickets only. 
• Changes from ONLINE ONLY to IN PERSON & ONLINE can only be done until 15 April 2024, by email to eccmidregistration[at]escmid.org, and these changes are subject to a 50 EUR handling fee. The difference in registration fees needs to be paid additionally.

Manual registration processing surcharge

Registrations received by fax, mail or email are subject to an administration surcharge of 20 EUR. Therefore, we encourage you to use the online registration system that is safe, quick, easy and also gives you an immediate confirmation along with the invoice.

In order to register for the Congress, please log in with your email address and your password if you already have a profile. If you do not have a profile, you can create a new one. 

After successful registration, an invoice or confirmation (depending on payment) will be sent immediately to your email address.

Prescription

As per guidelines for pharmaceutical exhibitors, during the online registration you will need to state whether you are qualified to prescribe.

Scanning of your badge

Participants are not obliged to allow exhibitors to scan their badge in the exhibition area or when entering an industry symposium. Participants must show their badge for prove of access rights, but do not need to allow a company to scan it. With allowing a company to scan, you acknowledge that your registration details will be forwarded to the exhibitor.

Disclaimer

The participant acknowledges that they have no right to sue the organisers for damages should the Congress not be held for unexpected political or economic reasons, or because of "force majeure", or should the non-appearance of speakers or other events necessitate programme changes. With their registration, the participant accepts this proviso.
